Warners Holme Lacey House

Warner - Holme Lacy - Herefordshire

A Georgian 181-bedroom manor house seeped in history providing endless views of the magnificent Wye Valley

Experience the grandeur of this Grade I listed mansion, steeped in history and culture. The surrounding estate was granted by William the Conqueror to Walter de Lacy, and in 1354 it was inherited by Thomas Scudamore, as husband of Clarice de Lacy. Two centuries later his descendant John Scudamore built a brick house in the shape of an ‘H’, and it was added to in 1628 by his son John, first Viscount Scudamore. In 1674 the second Viscount Scudamore completed the stunning mansion and you can soak up its history as you ascend the original grand main staircase or dine in its ornate rooms.

Holme Lacy showcases the elegant style of Regency England, from its lovingly restored panelled state rooms to the grand staircase in the old house, leading to beautiful historic bedrooms.
